The Gatorade Triathlon Series, run by Sports Media & Entertainment 360, offers prospective Age Group Worlds Competitors the opportunity to gain points towards qualifying for the event in it’s third race for the season.

Triathlon Victoria Executive Director Grant Cosgriff said it will be an important race for those who wish to be considered for the Australian Team.

“The pinnacle for an Age Group athlete is to wear the ‘green and gold’ and race at the Age Group World Championships.”

“The 2017 ITU Age Group Sprint Distance Triathlon World Championships will be held alongside the Elite World Championships and Gatorade Race 3 offers points towards selection as part of the 20 male and 20 female per age category Australian team …. Get to the starting line and take the challenge.”

As the final selection race in Victoria and the second last overall, it is set to be laced with hot competition across the 20 Age Group.

The Gatorade Triathlon Series has been running for thirty years, welcoming all who wish to challenge themselves in the sport.

With the sprint distance category building to an Olympic Distance in Race 5, there is also an option for beginners to join in with the Active Feet Fun Tri and the Carman’s Kids Tri.

The event will be held on Sunday February 5 at Elwood Park, Elwood.
